No. The Züri-Sack is for household waste up to a certain size and weight — a mattress does not fit. Placing a mattress on the street without a booking is also not permitted in Zürich and can result in a fine. The official options are the Recyclinghof Werdhölzli, ERZ Sperrgutabfuhr, or a private collection service like ZüriClean.
We typically offer availability within the same week. If you need a same-day or next-day collection, contact us directly — this is often possible, subject to a small surcharge for short-notice bookings. We aim to respond to all quote requests within a few hours.
If you have a vehicle and time, the free option is to drop your mattress at the Recyclinghof Werdhölzli (no charge for residents). If you are moving out, short on time, or do not have transport, ZüriClean collects from your door for a fixed price — including stair-carrying. If you also need the flat cleaned, we can combine both in one visit.
We do not send mattresses to the landfill. Every mattress is taken to a recycling facility where metal springs, foam, fabric, and latex are separated and processed. This is compliant with Swiss environmental law (USG). We can provide a written disposal confirmation (Entsorgungsnachweis) if you need one for your records.
Yes. We handle hygiene-compromised mattresses with protective wrapping before carrying the mattress through your building. These cases are treated as a separate service with appropriate handling procedures. A surcharge applies — this will be clearly stated in your quote. Contact us to discuss before booking.
ZüriClean is the only company in Zürich that offers both services. You get one quote, one team, and one invoice.
Yes. We carry mattresses down any number of flights of stairs. Our team always works in pairs for heavy items. A small staircase surcharge applies per floor above the second floor — this is included in your quote. We confirm the access conditions before finalising the price.
We collect all common mattress types: spring (Federkernmatratze, Taschenfederkernmatratze), cold foam (Kaltschaum), memory foam, latex, and mattress toppers. Cot mattresses and fold-out sofa bed mattresses are also accepted.
